PNW Mountaintop Elopement – With Guests
We expected foggy, even rainy weather for Nicole and Ron’s October elopement in the North Cascades. Instead, we got the most beautiful, sunny, 70-degree day – so we were all shocked when the road closed for the season from heavy snowfall three days later.
Foggy Artist Point Elopement
Jennifer and Patrick had never been to Washington before their elopement. They wanted to get married in the mountains with views so large you can’t help but feel small.
Snow-Capped Mountain Elopement
It’s surprising to some that many of Washington’s peaks are covered in snow year-round. In the North Cascades, there are over 300 glaciers alone, and it’s one of the snowiest places in the contiguous United States!
Snoqualmie Elopement
Gabriel, Michael, and 20 of their family members all flew into Washington for their elopement. They wanted to prioritize a convenient location for their guests, as well as get married somewhere beautiful in the mountains. Just an hour from Seattle, Snoqualmie was the perfect place.
Mount Rainier Vow Exchange
In the dark, sitting atop a 5,900-foot-high summit, a faint outline of the base of Mount Rainier was showing beneath a layer of clouds. I pointed it out, and Patrick said, “If I’m seeing what I think I’m seeing, then Mount Rainier is huge.”
Lake Crescent Elopement
Devon and Chris chose to elope in Washington because it’s always been a dream of Devon’s to visit. Photos of the Pacific Northwest have always caught her eye, and eloping was the perfect reason to finally visit. With so much romanticizing of this location, I was a bit timid to ask her what she thought of it, but I was so happy when she said it all exceeded her expectations!
Seattle Arboretum Fall Elopement
At 230 acres, the Washington Park Arboretum is Seattle’s third-largest park. It’s large enough to make you forget you’re amidst a bustling city while you’re wandering its many trails. The grand trees, flowers, and waterfront along Lake Washington make it a lovely place to visit any time of year, but especially in the fall.
Mount Rainier Elopement
On the day of Evan and Kelly’s elopement, I woke up and immediately went to check the conditions at Mount Rainier from my dining room window. Even though their wedding took place during the first week of September, Rainier is the tallest mountain around and can create its own cloud coverage no matter the season. Visiting in summer gives you the best odds of seeing the mountain, but there is always a chance that it could be covered in clouds.
Pacific Crest Trail Backpacking Elopement
News on the PCT travels fast! We were five miles from our campsite in the North Cascades when Zach and I were asked if we were with the wedding party. It was shocking that even new, incoming PCT thru-hikers knew of the elopement.
North Cascades Hiking Elopement
Malinda and Greg were so excited to be able to share their love of traveling with their families for their elopement. From Michigan, it was Washington’s grand mountains that drew them to the Pacific Northwest. After debating mountaintop ceremony locations all over Washington, they loved the dramatic peaks of the Mt. Baker Wilderness the most.
Mount Baker Sunrise Elopement
Helping plan Kasey and Yashas adventure elopement has been a dream. They’re from Illinois and hadn’t visited the Mount Baker Wilderness before they chose to elope there. That sounds like it could be stressful, but they made it look easy!
Dramatic Olympic Coast Elopement
If you’re familiar with spring in Washington, you’ll probably know we can have some erratic weather. In spring, it can be snowing one day and sunny the next. That’s why I was relieved when Carly and Gavin reached out to me about eloping on the beach in the Olympic National Park and wanted moodier weather. We discussed the possibility of it raining and they were down for the adventure!
Lake Quinault Elopement
Sarah and Adam’s goal was to keep their elopement as stress-free and simple as possible. This might sound easy, but the more vendors you add and the more guests you invite, the more complicated everything gets.
Mount Rainier Forest Elopement
Have you ever hiked with someone who has so much joy they can’t help but skip, jump, and twirl up the path? That’s what hiking with Janette is like. As the rest of us walked, Joseph looked on admiringly, explaining that this is how she always hikes.
Mountain Elopement in Washington State
Meeting Erin and Kevin in person for the first time this month felt like meeting an old pen pal. We’ve been planning their elopement since November of 2019, so we’ve gotten to know each other well through the ups and downs of the pandemic. Let’s just say they are the kindest, most patient people ever.
Seattle LGBTQ Backyard Wedding
Lisa and Amanda’s wedding was originally planned for Memorial Day weekend. Smack dab in the middle of the lockdown. They took all the mandated changes — first, changing their wedding date, then the venue and guest list, and finally had to nix their reception plans altogether — in stride. Throughout the process they were always calm and kind, no matter the unexpected circumstances.
Pacific Northwest Beach Wedding at Hope Island
When 2020 flipped Abby and Jack’s wedding plans from a large wedding with many out of state guests to an intimate ceremony, I had the honor of helping guide them through changes. The first, biggest, and most urgent detail was finding a new ceremony location since they were saving their original venue for their postponed reception.
Seattle Rock Climbing Elopement
Julie and Carey were one of many couples planning a large wedding that was affected by the current events. Rather than postponing getting married altogether, they decided to elope and postpone their reception. They started dreaming about how they’d like to elope and joked around about rock climbing to their ceremony. Then they realized they really could!
The Unbelievable Adventures of Sasquatch Continues
Sasquatch and Bigfoot really know how to make the most of this pandemic! Now married, they’ve set out to have the most adventurous honeymoon possible.
Unbelievable Pacific Northwest Elopement
Recent trends — less and less people on Pacific Northwest’s hiking trails — has not gone unnoticed. In fact, there are two beings who knew exactly what to make of these new “sheltering in place” rules they had just begun to hear about.
