Mount Rainier Forest Elopement

Have you ever hiked with someone who has so much joy they can’t help but skip, jump, and twirl up the path? That’s what hiking with Janette is like. As the rest of us walked, Joseph looked on admiringly, explaining that this is how she always hikes.

The hike, just outside Mount Rainier National Park, was gorgeous. Forested and following a river, it ends at a small waterfall where they held their ceremony. My favorite part was after the ceremony when Joseph helped Janette change into a new pair of hiking boots to start their new adventure together.

After more skipping down the trail, lots of bubbles, and a champagne pop, we made it back to the cabin their cabin for celebratory cupcakes and a garter toss — proof that you can include any tradition you want in your elopement day!

Congratulations again Janette and Joseph!
