PNW Mountaintop Elopement – With Guests
We expected foggy, even rainy weather for Nicole and Ron’s October elopement in the North Cascades. Instead, we got the most beautiful, sunny, 70-degree day – so we were all shocked when the road closed for the season from heavy snowfall three days later.
Their elopement day started in a cabin at the mountain’s base, where everyone got ready. Both sets of parents had the most precious reactions to seeing Nicole and Ron dressed up for the first time that day.
Ron and Nicole shared a private lakeside first look before meeting everyone for the ceremony higher on the mountain. Samantha, from Noava Nuptials, did an incredible job officiating. Their ceremony was playful – including a game of Rock Paper Scissors to determine who would say their vows first – but so impactful that most everyone had shed happy tears by the time it was over.
Afterward, Ron and Nicole explored the area for sunset. We had the most beautiful golden hour with 360-degree views. Mount Baker really showed off for us!
While Nicole and Ron were enjoying the views, Ron’s family was preparing to spoil everyone with a homemade dinner of smoked pulled pork and burnt ends back at the cabin. Dinner was followed by cupcakes from Ron’s aunt and reminiscing about the day.
