Finding the perfect Washington state national park to elope in was at top of mind when Stan and Michele reached out to me about photographing their destination elopement. Hailing from Wisconsin, these two were in search of mountains and water, and there is no better place to find the two than the North Cascades National Park. With 300 glaciers, over 500 alpine lakes, and some of the most rugged peaks in the United States, the North Cascades is jaw-dropping to say the least.
We are spoiled with gorgeous landscapes in Washington — including mountains, beaches, rainforests, and deserts. So many incredible places make decisions, such as where to take engagement photos, difficult, but that’s the best kind of problem to have.
In order to ease your decision making, I’ve compiled a list of the top 17 best locations to take engagement photos in the state of Washington. Enjoy!
I’ve been dying to shoot at Diablo Lake, ever since my first visit there, over a year ago! Diablo Lake is known for its turquoise water and I love that it has the look of an adventure session without the effort of hiking to get there. It’s got the most amazing viewpoint, and it’s only a few steps past the parking lot.
