Mount Baker Couples Adventure Session

Not just anyone will wake up in the middle of the night to capture photos at sunrise, but that’s exactly what Priyanka and Akshay wanted.

We started our short hike around 5:00 am and reached the viewpoint a bit early. Between snacking and changing outfits, we took a few fun shots with Mount Shuksan silhouetted against the changing skies. Even before the sun began to rise, Mt. Baker was glowing pink with alpenglow.

The alpine start was worth it. The surrounding mountains seemed to light up one by one, allowing us to feature each at its best. My favorite detail though was the nearby pond. It was a windless morning, and the pond was completely still – perfect for taking photos with gorgeous reflections. 

I couldn’t have asked for better subjects, weather, or location. This is what Pacific Northwest summers are all about!
