This session took a few miracles to pull off, but we didn’t let a looming deployment, illness, rescheduling, or babysitter problems stop us! Thankfully, Manny and Diana were determined to celebrate their third anniversary with a lakeside photo session.

Diana kept the Pacific Northwest’s moody colors in mind while planning her wardrobe, opting to pull from her heritage and wear bright and colorful Southeast Asian attire. I loved the contrast it created.

You’ll also see their little man make an appearance as well. Since their babysitter cancelled on them at the last minute, they brought him along and found a new sitter to keep an eye on him during the shoot. It’s been years since I’ve photographed kids, and it made me realize that I miss all the laughs and giggles during photo sessions with them!
