Lake Cushman Elopement

Just a half-hour before photographing Nicole and Kamal’s newlywed and engagement photos, I was driving through a thick fog in Hoodsport. I was anxious for the rest of the drive — the weather is one of the only things out of my control when it comes to photoshoots, and all three of us were hoping to have gorgeous mountain views for these shots.

However, when I got to the lake, it was all sunshine without a trace of fog in sight! We were surrounded by Lake Cushman’s deep blue waters and mountains on every side of us. It was so beautiful, and you’d have never guessed there was total cloud cover just a few miles away.

Kamal and Nicole had gotten married earlier that day, so we started out taking photos in their wedding attire. I loved Nicole’s lace dress, and I couldn’t believe that her bouquet was made of satin flowers. Halfway through the shoot, they changed and we took photos for their engagement announcement, too!

Congratulations Nicole and Kamal!
