Lake Wenatchee Marriage Proposal
Having a beautiful place all to yourself in Washington is a treat — especially a spot as easily accessible as Lake Wenatchee. It’s a great spot to snowshoe in the winter or picnic and swim in the summer, so it was a pleasant surprise to have the entire beach to ourselves the evening Deep proposed.
North Cascades Hiking Proposal
Miles and Fayhaa met in an outdoor group in college, creating a great network of like-minded friends. With their help, Miles pulled off the most epic surprise proposal to Fayhaa!
National Park Marriage Proposal
Will booked an adventure session with plans to propose on a remote beach in the Olympic National Park at sunset. As the day came closer, the weather forecast kept getting worse, calling for rain in the afternoon into the evening.
Lake Crescent Lodge Surprise Proposal
Sheridan and I organized his proposal to Kaitlyn in two weeks! They were visiting Washington to backpack in the Olympic National Park. Originally, Sheridan wanted to propose in the rainforest right before they left on their backpacking trip, but after giving it some thought, he knew that Kaitlyn would prefer being dressed up for this moment, so he booked a room at the Lake Crescent Lodge.
Backpacking to Stehekin
Stehekin is a remote town in the North Cascades — only accessible by foot, ferry (from the Lake Chelan Boat Co. and Stehekin Ferry), or plane. Based along the northern shores of Lake Chelan, the town is surrounded by 7,000-foot mountains and the third deepest lake in the United States. Saying it’s incredibly beautiful would be an understatement!
Lake Crescent Spring Engagement
The Olympic National Park is known for its rain — it is the United States’ wettest continental rainforest after all — so it was a delightful surprise when the forecast predicted sunshine for Maggie and Ryan’s engagement shoot. We arrived to see clear skies, a sparkling blue lake, and temps in the 60s! It was a wonderful change from the rainy spring we’ve had in western Washington this year.
Dramatic Olympic Coast Elopement
If you’re familiar with spring in Washington, you’ll probably know we can have some erratic weather. In spring, it can be snowing one day and sunny the next. That’s why I was relieved when Carly and Gavin reached out to me about eloping on the beach in the Olympic National Park and wanted moodier weather. We discussed the possibility of it raining and they were down for the adventure!
Olympic National Park Beach Styled Elopement
When Mavaney, the model bride, and I planned this styled elopement, we had snow and ice caves in mind. The Big Four Ice Caves to be specific. Neither of us had visited them, but we both agreed it would be the perfect place to shoot. Nature had other plans, however.
