Lake Wenatchee Marriage Proposal
Having a beautiful place all to yourself in Washington is a treat — especially a spot as easily accessible as Lake Wenatchee. It’s a great spot to snowshoe in the winter or picnic and swim in the summer, so it was a pleasant surprise to have the entire beach to ourselves the evening Deep proposed.
National Park Marriage Proposal
Will booked an adventure session with plans to propose on a remote beach in the Olympic National Park at sunset. As the day came closer, the weather forecast kept getting worse, calling for rain in the afternoon into the evening.
Ruby Beach Surprise Proposal
When I think of the Olympic National Park’s rugged coast, Ruby Beach is the first place that comes to mind. It’s easily accessible, has dramatic sea stacks, tide pools, driftwood, and the most iconic sunsets. In fact, I would go as far as to say it’s Washington’s most beautiful beach.
Dramatic Olympic Coast Elopement
If you’re familiar with spring in Washington, you’ll probably know we can have some erratic weather. In spring, it can be snowing one day and sunny the next. That’s why I was relieved when Carly and Gavin reached out to me about eloping on the beach in the Olympic National Park and wanted moodier weather. We discussed the possibility of it raining and they were down for the adventure!
Olympic Peninsula Surprise Proposal
When Eric reached out to me about photographing his proposal to Allison one week before their trip to Washington, I was ecstatic — I love photographing proposals! Growing up, he’d spent his summers visiting his grandparents living on the Olympic Peninsula, so he already had plenty of ideas of where to pop the question. He was debating between it happening on the Dungeness Spit or an iconic lavender farm when I told him about my secret gem of a spot. He was immediately sold!
Olympic Peninsula Newlywed Adventure
Alex and Ty chose to have their newlywed photos taken at one of my all-time favorite spots in Washington. I love it because it’s not only gorgeous, but it has so much variety within a short distance.
Pacific Northwest Beach Wedding at Hope Island
When 2020 flipped Abby and Jack’s wedding plans from a large wedding with many out of state guests to an intimate ceremony, I had the honor of helping guide them through changes. The first, biggest, and most urgent detail was finding a new ceremony location since they were saving their original venue for their postponed reception.
Olympic National Park Beach Styled Elopement
When Mavaney, the model bride, and I planned this styled elopement, we had snow and ice caves in mind. The Big Four Ice Caves to be specific. Neither of us had visited them, but we both agreed it would be the perfect place to shoot. Nature had other plans, however.
Washington Beach Wedding Venues (Updated for 2024)
For those of you who want to say "I do" with toes in the sand, here is a list of Washington beach wedding venues. I've mentioned my favorite venues and state parks, but keep in mind many city parks along the Puget Sound have beautiful beaches as well.
