Olympic Peninsula Newlywed Adventure

Alex and Ty chose to have their newlywed photos taken at one of my all-time favorite spots in Washington. I love it because it’s not only gorgeous, but it has so much variety within a short distance.

Walk along the cliffs and you’ll find yourself in forests with glimpses of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Vancouver Island. Venture down one of the many steep flights of stairs and you’ll find yourself amongst tide pools and a sandy beach if the tide is low or crashing waves when it’s high.

Alex and Ty got married earlier that morning and ended their wedding day by taking these photos with me. My favorite moment of the shoot was when we found a grassy knoll overlooking the strait and I asked if they’d like to have a first dance. Alex was all in and poor Ty was tasked with choosing a song on the spot. I was too far away to hear the song once it was chosen, but it was such a beautiful moment!

Since the tide was high, we drove to the nearest accessible beach after their dance and, coincidentally, it’s where Ty loves to surf!

Congratulations again, Ty and Alex!
