Brown’s Farm Winthrop Wedding
Laurel and Steve were brave and adventurous with their wedding plans. Not only did they start planning mid-pandemic, but they wanted to get married this year and knew that their plans would need to change as regulations did.
Thankfully their venue, Brown’s Farm in Winthrop, made it easy to keep up with the guidelines. Laurel and Stephen’s families stayed in cabins on the farm and they made great spaces to get ready in.
The worn wood in the cabins was the perfect backdrop for their detail shots, too. It contrasted beautifully with Laurel’s made-to-measure dress by Polina Ivanova. The rest of their detail items were just as gorgeous and personal. I loved the climbing knots on the boutonnieres, Laurel’s grandmother’s ring, earrings made by a friend at Vessel Arts, and handwritten vows.
Their outdoor ceremony had plenty of space for households to cluster together. Botanikal Designs arranged the flowers on the arbor with the North Cascade mountains in the background. We climbed one of the nearby mountains a few days after their wedding for their newlywed shoot, so this was very fitting!
Afterward, everyone made their way to celebrate in the open barn and patio. EVERYONE commented on how gorgeous the flower centerpieces were!
The dessert table was incredible, too. I’ve never seen homemade Twinkies, Ding Dongs, and Pop-Tarts at a wedding before, and the gluten-free cake was delicious (all made by Spilled Butter Desserts). The chocolate-filled croissants are Steve’s must-have dessert whenever he’s in Winthrop, so of course, those also made an appearance (find them at the Mazama Store, but go early before they’re sold out!).
Congrats again, Laurel and Steve!
They exchanged gifts after their first look, and Laurel was surprised to find a sweatband that she had given Stephen when they had first met years ago.
