Same Sex Backyard Wedding in Buckley, Washington

Backyard weddings are always special. Not only are they outdoors, which I love, but they always feel so personal!

Brittany and Jen’s wedding was held at a friend’s home in Buckley, Washington, and the yard looked like it was made with weddings in mind. The space was complete with an elevated deck that overlooked the altar and served as an awesome dance floor. Plus, there was still plenty of space for tables and tents in the grass.

Brittany and Jen’s ceremony was touching. Everyone involved had the biggest smiles. Both of their kids gave speeches, and they lit unity candles as a family. It was beautiful to see their family come together as one.

After the ceremony, everyone celebrated throughout the evening in a fun reception. The deck was lit up with string lights (my favorite!), and everyone got out and danced. I’m not sure what I loved more — Brittany twirling in her dress, or that they snuck out of the reception to take photos with their vintage Land Cruiser!

All in all, it was a beautiful summer wedding! Congratulations, Brittany and Jen!
