Beach Elopement Scouting — Salt Creek Recreation Area, Port Angeles

Growing up on the East side of Washington meant that trips to the beach were a special, once a year occasion, complete with a six hour drive each way. Now that I live in Tacoma, I'm taking full advantage of the proximity to the Pacific and I'm lucky to have married a West coast native who knows all of Western Washington's best kept secrets!

A Winter Wedding at McCormick Woods Golf Club

Megan and Garrett's wedding was so much fun! They added many personal touches to their day, from their hand written vow books to the book arch Garrett made! I loved their nerdy theme (Megan's own words!) of books that took over McCormick Woods Golf Club. Every table displayed one of their favorite authors, with the bride and groom table displaying Tolkien. Coincidence that Garrett's wedding band has Elvish on it? I think not.

Ashley and Ian are such a fun couple! When I met Ashley, she had been dying to get their photos taken at their favorite hike — Boulder River Trail. I had never been on this trail before and after doing some research, I was a little skeptical of what it offered. Nonetheless, Ashley convinced me that it was the perfect location and when we reached the falls, I was totally blown away.

Seattle Ferry Engagement

Seattle Ferry Engagement

When I asked Megan and Garrett if they had a special place they'd like to shoot their engagement photos at, I didn't think they would suggest shooting on a ferry! I immediately loved the idea, although I hadn't a clue how it was a meaningful location to them. As it turns out, during the early days of their relationship, Megan commuted via ferry, so they've spent plenty of time together at the terminal and on the ferry.
