I’ve always loved lighthouses, so when I visited this Seattle park for the first-time years ago, I’ve dreamed of shooting a sunset session here ever since.
I love everything our local parks have to offer and this one has it all — grassy hills, forests, a rocky beach and, of course, a lighthouse. It’s perfectly positioned for sunset shoots, and we lucked out with a beautiful golden hour on this spring day.
When I met Kelsey on Instagram, I knew her dress and jacket combo would be perfect for the edgy bridal look I was hoping for. The dress looks vintage, and that’s because it is. It was handed down to Kelsey from her aunt, who wore it for her own wedding. When we decided to add Amira to the shoot, she had the best flowy, black outfit to compliment and contrast Kelsey’s.
None of us had met in person before, so it was a fun challenge for me to make them look as if they’d been in love for ages. They hit it off and we spent the evening laughing and wandering through the park.
