The Best of 2018: Pacific Northwest Engagements

As a follow-up to last week’s best of 2018 rings compilation, this week I’m sharing the best engagements of the year. I traveled throughout Washington for these sessions – so be prepared for a variety of Pacific Northwest landscapes.

The Surprise

You can’t have engagements without a proposal first. Jordan surprised Shae by popping the question where they met on their college campus in Spokane, WA. Shae is my younger sister, so if you’d like to read more about my nosey family and how it pertains to their proposal story, click here.

Less than 24 hours after Jordan proposed to Shae, I photographed their engagement session! Spokane’s parks exceeded my expectations, and this rocky ledge was my favorite spot of their session.

Fire in the sky

Vantage, WA has always been one of my favorite areas in the state. It’s hard not to be in awe of the Columbia River Gorge. For this summer engagement, we took advantage of the hazy skies and orange sunset with help from nearby wildfires. Sam and Gabe look flawless, despite the 98 degree heat!

Beach bums

A Seattle beach — beautiful trees, a sandy beach, fire pits, and a gorgeous sunset. I couldn’t ask for more in one location. Click here to soak in more summer beach vibes.

Rolling hills

Last but not least, I’m throwing back to Halley and Braden’s Palouse engagement since their wedding is so fresh in my mind. I love that you can count on a beautiful sunset most evenings in Eastern Washington (something I don’t take for granted living in Tacoma), and combining that with the rolling hills of the Palouse and the Snake River make this shoot one of a kind.
